#155 - REQUEST: Adoption & Lupus
Back from vacation!
I'll be posting more on that later...
but, I just wanted to send a call out to everyone.
I received a request for information for prospective adoptive parents who have lupus.
Any tidbit will surely help!
I am trying to write up information about lupus and fertility for the new website (coming this September).
Writing about lupus and adoption is DIFFICULT.
Lupus directly impacts access to some international adoptions.
We adopted our child before I received a confirmed lupus diagnosis. We did not even suspect that I had an autoimmune disease at the time of the home studies.
So send a call out and, hopefully we can learn some more from other lupus patients.
Much thanks!

#154 - Summer Vacation Update
No, I have not slipped off of the planet.
:)
I have been working diligently on Life Beyond Lupus... THE WEBSITE!
Tada!
Sneak peeks will be available as soon as I am not too embarrassed by what I have on there.
Little Bear is home all day now that school is on summer break.
So, I am an extremely exhausted lupie Mommy.
This summer has already been the BEST since I can't remember when.
My medications have been adjusted so I can get more exercise. My pain medication dosage has been increased for 30 days while I increase my activity level. The exercise helps relieve the fibromyalfia pain, and of course... I just feel better overall by being able to move about.
My Effexor dosage was also increased. We are seeing if this will help balance out the fibromyalgia problems that have reared up over the past several months.
Gosh... my life would be so dull if I didn't have to play drug hockey everyday...
NOT!
So, Little Bear and I have moved into the town park. We have found six dragonflies, a very loud bullfrog, minnows, way too many bugs, and a baby sparrow.
Life is good.
I am also enjoying the friendships that are developing between Little Bear and the neighbor kids.
I love the screeching shouts of joy and mayhem.
Something that can be deeply appreciated when you spend most of your time alone.
Anyway...
That's it.
I should have the website ready for September, God willing.
